Ssion's Tea: Mountain Breeze
Rhododendron

Rhododendron or famously known as "Buransh" is the state tree of Uttarakhand. These are beautiful looking bright red flowers. This flower is naturally grown in the Kumaon valleys and it takes a huge effort from our farmers to carefully pluck them and then dry them under the natural sunlight. The flower brings positivity and a feeling of warmth.

They are seasonally procured. The entire process which is the collection of flowers and then the picking out of the petals is all done manually by our Pahadi farmers. The taste of this flower is a little tangier.

orange peel

The oranges are washed peeled and dried under the natural sunlight. They give a nice sweet lemony flavour.

rose

One of the most aromatic flowers. These are organically grown on our farms and are called Desi Gulab. They are hand plucked and cleaned and then the petals are separated from the flower. It is very flavourful and has a very nice pinkish reddish colour. This flower has a cooling effect.

bay leaf

Bay leaf has great medical properties. It has a mild herb flavour which perfectly goes with our blend.

Origin of the tea

Almora, Uttrakhand
India.

Health benefits

Mountain Breeze is a delicious blend that has a cooling effect and aids in improving digestive health and stimulating appetite.

steeping notes

Step 1

For loose leaf teas, use an infuser based teapot to keep the leaves contained.
Put 1tsp of Ssion's Tea into the teapot.

Step 2

Pour the boiling water into the teapot.

Quick Tip:  Herbal teas develop flavours better when brewed with boiling water.

Step 3

Steep the loose leaf tea for 5 to 10 mins. Once you feel you’ve achieved the right infusion, remove the infuser, or strain the tea leaves.

Add Sweetener or Honey if desired.

Quick Tip:  You may need to steep herbal teas for more than 5 or 10 minutes to get the best health benefits and flavour, and some may need only a minute or they might become very bitter.
